London Show Announced: 21st September

Sweet Tooth are pleased to announce that they will return to Paradise (by way of Kensal Rise) on Monday 21st September 2015, as part of the legendary Cabaret Futura.

Armed with the the ethos “Do Not Be Boring,” the night’s founder (actor/musician) Richard Strange states that:

“Since re-opening in 2010 it has been my intention to harness the “can-do” spirit of Cabaret Futura and relaunch it, thirty years later, as a once-a-month meeting place for artists, performers, writers and free thinkers.  Rather than being simply a music club or a comedy club, Cabaret Futura features talks, lectures, interviews and short films, as well as performances and uncategorisable entertainments. A typical evening lasts 2-3 hours, on a Monday night, in a convivial atmosphere- tables and chairs, drinks and conversation. It is be a place to network, to be inspired, and to relax.”

The Paradise by way of Kensal Rise
19 Kilburn Lane

New website for Sweet Tooth

Welcome to Sweet Tooth’s new website!

It feels like only yesterday that we were mucking about in the Myspace sandpit…

And only minutes since we moved on to “big-school” Blogger, where we were very happy playing with you all.

But now the time has come to graduate to a ‘College level’ website, with all the bells and whistles and sparkly shiny bits that we’ve grown to need as the band has progressed.

An exciting new feature is our DISCOGRAPHY page, with direct click-to-purchase buttons that make it so easy to like us and take us home. Which will come in particularly handy when we release our new video and long-awaited album later this year!

Subscribe to our mailing list and watch this space for more details. We’re also busy in rehearsals so the LIVE page should soon be updated with gigs.

Please bear with us as we iron out a few wrinkles in our graduation gowns (and do use our CONTACT form to let us know if you spot any site glitches we’ve missed!).

Kisses,

Sweet Tooth

xx

Sweet Tooth on Instagram

For those of you who think a picture paints a thousand words, we are pleased to announce that Sweet Tooth are now on Instagram: http://instagram.com/fleurtini_sweettooth

I’ve resurrected a neglected account and can’t promise how prolific the posting will be be (those who follow our Twitter account know I have a love/hate relationship with social media that’s as fickle as a feline). But please give us a follow if you feel so inclined, and you never know what might appear in your feed…

Fickle felines, checking out a ukelele, for instance? :-)

News flash for our fans in Japan:

Today Rambling Records and Riq Japan released a new burlesque-inspired compilation, ‘Secret Lounge #009,’ available digitally in Japan on iTunes here

Selected for it personally by dancer Yuki, was our track ‘Moonlight Bunnyranch’ - receiving its first international release and making us very proud our little bunnies have been set free into the world.

Here’s a clip of the song. Listen,  close your eyes and imagine them frolicking under moonlit cherry trees, their boughs laden with blossom…

Introducing Bart & Baker

We love reinvention, using elements that already exist like vintage music, performance styles and costume so we are able to please or uncover a love of swing with both vintage fans and modern kids. We’ve always been huge fans of London and it’s cutting edge club culture so to be accepted and given such support from so many people has just amazed us. We work with electro swing clubs, vintage themed burlesque clubs, the best of your festivals and it’s thanks to all our UK fans and collaborators for making our journey so exciting so far.” Bart

We are pleased to announce that our friends Bart & Baker have included our collaboration with them on their debut album ‘Introducing Bart & Baker.’  The track ‘Bee Zoo’ is a little moment of kitsch that we hope fits in perfectly with their signature electro swing tunes.

If you’re in London and fancy checking out the cut of their jib, you can see them at The Electro Swing Club at Book Club on Sat 20th April. With lots of other DJ talent and some live performances, this is an internationally famous club night with a unique fusion of Paris/London Swing.

Those closer to Paris will find that Bart&Baker have their own monthly residency at the world-famed Parisian club La Machine du MOULIN ROUGE. See more about the vintage loving duo on their website.

To purchase the album, follow the links below my dears…
